“It started off small, just baking a few loaves of sourdough for the neighbors. As word spread about our story and goodies, the community adopted us and started pouring in their support. New to the San Francisco sourdough scene, our country loaves are well baked, crusty, moist inside, and subtly sour — and within just a few days, Bernal Bakery was up to its neck in orders. Over the last few years, we expanded our range to include soft and gooey brown butter chocolate chip cookies, sweet & savory pastries + croissants, jams & granolas, and a good variety of loaves. Fast forward and we now have our own brick + mortar on Cortland Ave. and our baked goodies + bread can be found at cafés, restaurants, and shops around the city. We do a good handful of farmers markets and pop-ups, and are so proud of the team we have today. We can’t thank you all enough for your constant support — see you out there!”
